Will we see a Canon 50D?

One Canon 50D rumor that has surfaced again is that the 40D is on its way out to be replaced by a 50D with a 14Mp sensor (still a cropped 1.6x crop) This is not new speculation on the life of the 40D but the pixel resolution is higher than mentioned before, there’s not much more information than that Many people have posted the fact that Canon have an 18 month cycle for products but when the market is changing with more competition and you’re losing market share then they may have to change your practice or lose out further.

Anyone who has a Digital SLR and has brought lenses other than the kit lens knows that once you’ve made that commitment it’s a big and costly change to another manufacturer. So do they – they want you on their path not the competitions………….
