Nikon Digital SLR Strategy

There’s an interesting article over at Luminous Landscape website, it’s said to be background on the recent rise of Nikon in the SLR market. It makes for an interesting read as to their strategy, regardless of whether it’s factually correct no one can doubt the waves that have been made in the market place and how well the new cameras have been selling but that’s down to the performance as well as price point

We wait to see whether the Canon 5D mk2 or it’s newer replacements are pitched in terms of price and functionality in response. I believe if you look at the Canon product positioning there’s certainly room for a prosumer body (5D mk2?) at the £1000 mark.
