Nikon D700 preview

So it’s arrived, the rumours over the last few weeks have been bourne out, the Nikon D700 is out in public. It’s a full frame body with UK pre orders quoted £1999. Designed for the ‘serious’ photographer, offering 12 megapixels in a full-frame (FX) format, it incorporates many of the features of the popular D3 and D300 digital SLR cameras.

The Nikon D700 features a sensing area of 36.0 x 23.9mm, a high sensitivity range of ISO 200-6400, the Nikon 51-point AF system, Scene Recognition, auto exposure and auto white balance detection, as well as continuous shooting up to 5fps
