Nikon D3 vs. D700 vs. Canon 5D

I was hunting around seeing if there were any new and useful 5D Mk2 rumors with no luck , it’s at the stage again of everyone wondering and posting wish lists. I did however find an interesting article by Ken Rockwell that gives a good summary of the existing 5D performance versus that of the new Nikon D700 and the nearly new D3. It gives good summaries, whilst not wishing to spoil the read the results are

Action and Sports: D3.
Kids running around: D3. Sad, but true: my kid is so fast, I really need the D3 to keep up with him!
Landscapes: 5D.
Portraits: D700.
Low Light: D700 or D3.
