More Canon 5D mk2 rumors

On dpreview there is a new thread today that is stating that Canon is testing three new SLRs, yes that is right – three. It says that two are successor of the 5D and one will be a 1series. There are some claims about virtually no noise. While that would be very nice it’s not easy (in electronic terms) and is a dream for designers. It would be a coup for Canon and certainly be welcome with all the recent Nikon pressure but I doubt Canon would release a new 1 series now along with two 5D replacements. The product map would look to me a bit crowded in the prosumer area between the 40D and 1D mkiii with too close price points.

I was wandering around the Tate Modern Art Gallery (=no flash photography….) in London a few weeks ago and saw a camera with the Manufacturers name taped over but it had a Canon L lens (this is true) …maybe it was a new camera ;o)
